SapientNitro Launches Tablet Offering for Immersive, Socially Networked Experiences at Conferences, Meetings and Events
Offering Marks its European Debut at Day Software’s Ignite 2010 Summit in Berlin
BOSTON & BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), today launched in Europe a proprietary tablet offering – currently available for the Apple iPad - that provides an immersive and socially networked experience at conferences, events and meetings. The mobile offering, developed and sold to companies and organizations by SapientNitro, is designed to optimize the customer experience at events by enabling a more collaborative and dynamic experience than printed materials can provide. Day Software, now part of Adobe Systems Incorporated, is deploying the offering at its annual Ignite conference this week in Berlin.
As opposed to merely attending lectures and networking with peers at set times, users at participating conferences are able to connect and interact more deeply, both with the content being discussed and with their conference peers. The iPad offering provides users with the following capabilities:
- Quick and easy access to conference schedules, including speaker bios and presentation materials
- Profiles of fellow conference attendees, including photos and links to sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook
- The ability to communicate with speakers and attendees and to provide real-time commentary, photos, and videos of the event using Twitter and YouTube
- A visual perspective of the tracks and topics being discussed at participating events
- The ability for speakers to update presentation materials without having to print out new handouts
- A section for taking notes, further eliminating the need for paper
SapientNitro is unveiling the conference helper offering in Europe at the Ignite 2010 Summit in Berlin, produced by Adobe Systems' Day Software. It made its US debut at Day’s Ignite Chicago in October. As the Global Partner for the summit, SapientNitro will host the summit’s Mobile Café, which will offer an Internet-café like setting allowing summit attendees to recharge their complimentary iPads, which are included as part of registration. The Mobile Café will offer attendees the opportunity to speak with SapientNitro staff about the new application and best practices in mobile strategy. In addition, attendees can hear SapientNitro VP Dan Barnicle speak on “Multi-Channel and the Convergence of Marketing, Commerce, and Customer Service” today.
