New AIP Free Personal Edition Offers Most of the Same Features Found in Rectiphy’s Corporate Suite of Products – but at No Charge for Home Users

MURRIETA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Rectiphy Corporation has announced that it is giving away a new Personal Edition of its popular ActiveImage Protector backup software to home users. New ActiveImage Protector Free Personal Edition (AIP4Free.com) offers most of the same features found in Rectiphy’s ActiveImage Protector family of corporate products including fast sector-based imaging of entire systems, the ability to retrieve single files and directories, backup of live VSS-aware applications, handy wizards, bare-metal recovery and more. AIP Free is for home users and is not intended or licensed for use on corporate computers.

AIP Free enables users to easily set up a file retrieval and disaster recovery process with handy AIP Wizards and backup management tools. After a complete system backup ActiveImage Protector’s Smart Sector technology takes regularly scheduled snapshots backing up just the data that has changed since the last incremental or full backup. AIP Free is installed from a Windowless boot disk which also provides help with disaster recovery.

AIP Free includes many advanced features that will greatly ease backup and recovery management for home uses such as scripting, resource usage adjustment options, password protection, encryption, disk to disk copying and more.

ActiveImage Protector Free Personal Edition supports Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 but cannot be used on corporate machines. Users can download AIP Free from AIPFree.com. Like other ActiveImage Protector products the download is fully functional for 14 days. To use the software beyond two weeks users will need to activate the software by registering their email address at AIPFree.com or click “Go to App” on the AIP Free Facebook App Page and “Allow” Rectiphy to access basic information (name and email address).
