Now anyone can create social work apps for their mobile device

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Podio, the work platform where anyone can create apps to get their job done, announced today a new iPhone application to make those user-built apps mobile. Now, Podio’s powerful web-based app builder can create social work apps for mobile devices, allowing anyone to work the way they want, where they want.

Podio has already demonstrated the power of having end-users create work apps. The BBC called the Podio launch in March a “citizen developers” movement. Now, that app can be used by Atlas Blue employees while on the road. “Since we started building our own apps on Podio, we got rid of the rest of the tools we were using, and really cut down on the volume of email and spreadsheets flying around.” said Frank Dashti, Atlas Blue General Manager. “Now that we can put our Podio app on our mobile phones, my guys in the field can update work orders and add photographs to quotes on the spot. It's really great to have everything in one place and it will save me loads of hassle and manual updating back at the office.”
