Strategies Magazine acknowledges NDS designed SFR Neufbox Evolution UI in Design and Aesthetic Identity in Television category

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NDS today announced that the SFR Neufbox Evolution user interface (UI), developed in collaboration with NDS, has been awarded the Strategies Magazine Grand Prize for Design.

For the past 24 years the Strategies Grand Prize for Design has given recognition to the best innovation in design, in any field. For the 2011 awards, 90 submissions were made in 11 categories; SFR received the commendation in the category of “Design and Aesthetic Identity in Television”.

The SFR Neufbox Evolution UI provides the same intuitive TV user experience across many devices including the PC, mobile and tablets. The UI is based on a cylindrical framework that places the user at the centre of the experience, whether browsing linear TV or video on demand (VOD) services.

“SFR have taken an innovative approach to their user experience, from the TV screen, to the device and even the remote control.” commented Olivier Lacour, VP Studio Design, NDS “We are proud to have been able to support SFR in the deployment of an award winning user interface.”

In addition to the award from Strategies Magazine for their UI, the SFR Neufbox Evolution remote control was recently awarded the internationally recognised Red Dot Product Design award.
