Micro Focus Explores How Emerging Technologies Will Impact Testing Practices at QUEST and STAREAST 2010 Conferences

ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Micro Focus (LSE.MCRO.L), the leading provider of enterprise application modernization, testing and management solutions, today announced it will present its perspective on the future of testing at the QUEST 2010 Conference held between April 19 – 23, 2010 in Dallas, TX, and the STAREAST 2010 Conference, held between April 25 - 30, 2010 in Orlando, FL. Joachim Herschmann, Product Director, Test Automation, at Borland (a Micro Focus Company) will be a keynote presenter at QUEST 2010 conference and will lead a session at STAREAST 2010. Both of Herschmann’s presentations will discuss how emerging technologies such as the cloud and Web 2.0 will challenge and affect current testing practices.

At QUEST 2010, Herschmann will deliver the keynote presentation, “The Future of Testing: How Testing and Technology will Change.” In this session, Herschmann will examine how technologies such as SOA, mobile devices and the cloud will influence existing testing practices. Herschmann will highlight rising trends in testing that will enable developers to successfully navigate future challenges and opportunities.

At STAREAST 2010, Herschmann will address best practices for testing Web 2.0 applications in “Testing AJAX: What Does It Take?” Herschmann’s discussion will focus on the obstacles associated with testing Web 2.0 applications and will provide guidance on how to implement a robust and reliable AJAX test automation approach. The session will also outline how testers and developers can improve collaboration and create more testable Web 2.0 applications.
