Outlook Report Examines Market Projections and Best Practices for Adoption of Solid State Drives and High-Speed Memory

NEWTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kaminario, a leading provider of high performance all solid-state SAN storage solutions, today announced its sponsorship of an Outlook Report from industry analyst firm, Storage Strategies NOW, entitled, “Solid State Drives and High-Speed Memory: Adoption, Practice and Deployment.” The recently-released report examines the current and projected growth of the solid state drive (SSD) market, discusses how solid state drive technology has been implemented and offers best practices on the adoption of solid state drive technology.

The report includes the findings of a survey of IT professionals (at both the CIO and IT operations levels) regarding their plans for implementing solid state drives and high-speed memory. At the enterprise level, over 31% of respondents are implementing a solid state drive or high-speed memory storage device solution, while 25% have already implemented one or more solutions, 32% are currently evaluating solutions, and 9% are in the early stage of understanding the technology.

Also featured in the report are two user case profiles, including one on Kaminario customer, Digital Trowel, which collects, distills and disseminates Web data that organizations use to make business decisions. The process of cleansing and matching over 10 billion records was taking over two weeks for the company to perform, while its match and merge application required parallel processing.
