Integration of enterprise platforms reduces requirements risk, promotes traceability and facilitates change management

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- iRise®, the global leader in enterprise visualization solutions, today announced the immediate availability of version 2.0 of iRise Connect for HP Quality Center, an integration of the application visualization capabilities in iRise with the robust requirements management and testing capabilities of HP Quality Center, now with support for ALM 11.

“We see that many of our customers are in the process of upgrading to HP ALM 11 to take advantage of the enhanced requirement management features,” stated Jacques Marine, EVP of Services for iRise. “As an HP AllianceONE partner committed to supporting the HP Quality Center platform, and in order to provide the best possible product to our customers, we have upgraded our Connect integration product to support HP ALM 11.”

iRise Connect for HP Quality Center enables business analysts to combine the powerful application visualization capabilities in iRise to elicit and validate requirements for business software with the robust requirements management traceability capabilities in HP ALM 11 to track and manage requirements throughout the application development cycle. Specifically, using the integration, any text-based requirements captured in iRise can be exported to HP ALM 11 along with a link back to the interactive visualization in iRise and any associated screen flows and screen shots. Once in HP ALM 11, the requirements can be reviewed, revised, tracked and managed along with releases, tests, and defects. If needed, the business analyst or other users of HP ALM 11 can link to the iRise visualization directly from HP ALM 11, empowering them to resolve business requirements quickly and easily during projects. By eliminating requirements confusion early, software projects are accelerated and expensive downstream rework is avoided.

Additionally, any text-based requirements captured in HP ALM 11 can be imported into iRise along with any associated attributes. Once in iRise the requirements can be reviewed, revised, and visualized. If needed, the business analyst can click on the requirement in iRise to view associated attributes from HP ALM 11.

“We continue to hear from our customers about the importance of integrating their enterprise tools to reduce requirements risk, promote requirements traceability and facilitate change management,” continued Mr. Marine. “The integration of iRise visualization with the requirements management and testing capabilities of HP ALM 11 makes these goals a reality.”
