IDGA’s 4th Cyber Security Summit Will Help Facilitate Partnerships to Combat Increasing Cyber Threats
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Institute for Defense and Government Advancement announces its 4th Cyber Security for Defense Summit, taking place September 20-22, 2010 in Washington, D.C.
The Summit will explore ways in which the private and public sector can work together, reduce risk, comply with regulatory mandates and increase the safety of important information. Key points covered by expert speakers will include partnerships, transparency, holistic cyber management, threat investigations, best practices, defense against hackers and more.
The event features a Pre-Summit workshop day on Monday, September 20 where IT managers, cyber security experts, enterprise architects, engineers and others will discuss cloud computing and developing cyber situational awareness.
Summit Director Michelle Cardinal noted that, “It’s a critical time for Cyber Security right now. Between the “Kill Switch” legislation in Congress and the proposal for an ambassador type position for international cyber security, Washington has started to put cyber threats into the spotlight. This Summit will help facilitate partnerships between the private and public sector so they can effectively combat these attacks through better technology and communication.”
