IDC Bolsters Mobility Research Team with the Addition of Two Experienced Analysts

International Data Corporation () today announced the addition of two experienced analysts to its worldwide mobility research team.

has been hired as Research Vice President of Mobile & Connected Platforms to provide research and advisory support on content and service distribution strategies across mobile and connected platforms and execution environments. Jackson has more than 12 years of research experience in the mobile computing sector. His areas of expertise include application development and delivery platforms, mobile devices, communications semiconductors, operator and channel strategies, network technologies and standards, as well as market forecasting and business strategy. Prior to joining IDC, John worked for two other well-known market research firms.

In addition, has been named Program Manager for IDC's Mobile Device Tracker suite, which includes the , the , and the forthcoming Worldwide Mobile Connected Devices Tracker. In this role, Reith will oversee IDC's research on the quantitative aspects of the mobile device industry, including market sizing, forecasting, vendor market share analysis, and technology trends. He will also be engaging with mobile device vendors to discuss market trends and provide forward-looking analysis. Reith has more than eight years of background in mobility, starting with IDC's Mobile Phone research team in 2005, where he was a Senior Analyst focused on market sizing and forecasting. He has also worked for Palm (now HP) where he managed Competitive Intelligence and was responsible for product forecasting and analyzing competitive landscapes.
