New subscription-based service leverages ICC’s hosted desktop expertise, SoftLayer’s world-class data centers and industry-leading Citrix desktop virtualization technology

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ICC Global Hosting announced it has launched cloud desktop services built on the SoftLayer platform. Organizations will now be able to embrace the benefits of virtual desktops expertly managed and hosted without the hassles of on-site infrastructure and management. Cloud desktops allow an organization’s employees to access their desktop environment, applications, and data from any device, over any network. These virtual desktops are managed by ICC and hosted on SoftLayer’s CloudLayer giving organizations a method to provide virtual desktops without any capital expenditure while fully integrating into their existing IT infrastructure.

ICC Global Hosting’s cloud desktop services leverage Citrix desktop virtualization solutions and include a full Windows desktop user experience including common desktop applications, Microsoft Office suites, and client server or custom applications. Users may access their desktop, applications, and data from their choice of multiple devices at work, home, or traveling from an Internet connection.
