HUD Taps Citizant for Transformation Initiative EA Support

Leader in full-life-cycle federal IT solutions gets additional orders for expanded enterprise architecture and enterprise information management projects at HUD

CHANTILLY, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Citizant, a leading provider of full-life-cycle information technology solutions to the federal government, announced today it has started work on two additional IT projects related to its current contract supporting the Department of Housing and Urban Development with enterprise architecture and enterprise information management solutions. The task orders are being funded under Citizant’s current five-year, $17 million contract with HUD, which began last August.

Under these new task assignments, Citizant is responsible for maintaining and evolving the HUD EA, which includes establishing a four-year strategic planning horizon. Citizant will also support EA implementation through segment architecture development, focusing inside HUD’s major transformation initiatives. Citizant’s EA support will improve the agency’s IT investment management process and refine HUD EA governance standards.

The HUD EA organization is consistently rated among the highest and most effective in the federal government. In November 2011, the HUD EA team won the “Excellence in Enterprise Architecture Award Winner” in the category of Leadership in Government Transformation Using EA. HUD’s EA team was also recognized for its effectiveness during the Acquisition Management Business Modernization Planning initiative for the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer.
