Heartland GreenUp Announces Free Virtual Participation in May 5 ‘Green IT’ Symposium

Web-based attendance open to first 200 registrants

DES MOINES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) is offering free, virtual participation in The Heartland GreenUp Symposium and Expo on May 5, 2010. The conference is a global opportunity to share the information technology industry's best practices in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints. Registration for virtual participation is available at http://bit.ly/cBB7LB; the first 200 registrants can participate at no charge.

Virtual attendees can participate through a simple Web interface providing real-time session video, slides and chat or in a fully-immersive, 3D convention center in Second Life. Registration remains open for those who want to attend the event at the Meadows Events Center in Des Moines, too.
