GreenWizard Drives LEED Automation with USGBC Partnership
LEED Online Integration Launched at Greenbuild 2011
CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- GreenWizard®, a cloud-based product management solution that simplifies building material selection and management, today announced that its new technology partnership with USGBC offers the ability to access LEED® Online projects and documentation from within GreenWizard.
GreenWizard’s LEED Automation presentation at Greenbuild demonstrated how users can either set up or pull in their LEED Scorecard, LEED documentation, or LEED Online projects, directly within GreenWizard. Now, they can take full advantage of GreenWizard’s search, assessment and modeling tools and its database of 120,000+ products to better manage their LEED projects. Eventually, users will be able to use LEED Automation for online submittal of LEED project applications. (Highlights from GreenWizard’s October 5th presentation at Greenbuild are now on www.GreenWizard.com/workflow_pro.)
Turner Construction Company, a prominent GreenWizard user, offered this observation about GreenWizard’s utility and ease-of-use: "I am very impressed by the benefits that GreenWizard offers for ease of green product selection and documentation of our LEED projects,” said Michael Deane, LEED AP BD&C, Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Turner Construction Company. “As a result we are offering GreenWizard training to our staff and encouraging them to take advantage of our Enterprise subscription.”
USGBC added the following: “When USGBC set out to select new technology partners, we selected a very small group of elite providers who could provide LEED Online capabilities,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, USGBC’s COO. “We’re thrilled to have GreenWizard as a partner, and we suspect we’ll learn as much from GreenWizard as they will learn from USGBC.”
After the LEED Automation presentation, GreenWizard’s tradeshow booth was swarmed by LEED users who were eager to learn how to automate their LEED credit tracking, optimization, and submissions. GreenWizard demonstrated its LEED Online integration tool, where users are able to:
- Optimize LEED points by accessing their LEED Online projects in GreenWizard;
- Pull in and manage their LEED Scorecard directly from GreenWizard;
- Use GreenWizard's integrated LEED assessment tools to measure progress against the LEED Online project goals; and
- Access and download project and credit documents from LEED® Online in GreenWizard.
"Interest at Greenbuild for GreenWizard’s tie-in to LEED Online exceeded even our ambitious expectations,” said Adam Bernholz, GreenWizard's founder and CEO. "Design and construction professionals who manage and submit for LEED credits clearly recognize the value GreenWizard brings to their bottom lines. It’s nice to offer a product suite that has such immediate and obvious value."
