Gilmore Research Maximizes Data Protection and Security with Code Green Networks TrueDLP™ Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Solut
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Pacific Northwest’s foremost research firm, Gilmore Research Group, announced today it is using Code Green Networks TrueDLP™ solution for data loss prevention (DLP). The firm, which conducts qualitative, quantitative, and multi-mode research studies, needed to protect large amounts of confidential data generated by its extensive projects.
Current and anticipated data-protection regulations and the strong growth of Gilmore’s healthcare practice led the company to add TrueDLP to its other security solutions. Gilmore’s newly announced Healthcare Division sends, receives, manages and analyzes large amounts of highly sensitive information. Much of this information is regulated by HIPAA, HITECH, and other legislation related to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Gilmore is on track to conform to the most stringent HIPAA designation of “Covered Entity,” differentiating it from research providers who merely have “Business Associate” status. To that end, TrueDLP enables Gilmore to prevent breaches of PHI and PII, keeping private data private.
“While we have long used industry-standard tools for IT security, our goal is to remain at the forefront of data protection procedures and policies. TrueDLP effectively protects the sensitive information within our many, large databases from being deliberately or inadvertently exposed,” noted John Cell, Senior Vice President and Director of Gilmore’s Healthcare Division. “TrueDLP has a strong track record of detecting data that should not leave the organization. And it will discover sensitive data so that we can create more effective policies for managing that data.”
Gilmore Research Group selected TrueDLP after conducting a comprehensive evaluation of DLP leaders in the field based on its scalability, one-appliance solution, proven capabilities, and performance. It was implemented in less than a day and will require minimal management, freeing up administrators to deal with other issues.
In addition to the Healthcare Division, Gilmore Research Group frequently conducts research for large financial institutions, and it anticipates TrueDLP being integral to protecting that data as well to meet GLBA compliance regulations and ensure that client data remains confidential.
Code Green Networks TrueDLP™ data loss prevention solution accurately detects sensitive data in motion on the network, in use on the endpoint, or at rest on endpoints and servers. Its powerful Discovery capability gives administrators the ability to locate and identify sensitive data residing on servers within data centers and throughout the network. Typical installations take a few hours and can be handled with a single appliance or can scale with multiple appliances for larger organizations. SC Magazine recently awarded TrueDLP its prestigious five-star “Best Buy” rating.
