Businesses Can Easily Buy, Deploy, Secure and Manage Enterprise Class Cloud Infrastructure for Mission-Critical Applications

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- GigaSpaces Technologies, a pioneer of next generation application platforms for mission-critical applications, today announced the GigaSpaces Application Platform appliance, a new solution for deploying and scaling complex, mission-critical enterprise applications on CA AppLogic® clouds. GigaSpaces developed the XAP software appliance as part of its active involvement as a partner in the Cloud Commons® ecosystem, sponsored by CA Technologies.

Enterprises and cloud service providers can use GigaSpaces XAP for private cloud, hybrid cloud and public clouds.

GigaSpaces’ new CA AppLogic appliance provides an enterprise grade stack of cloud-enabled services, such as elastic caching, elastic map/reduce, CloudWatch, SimpleDB and SQS, which can be used by any application, including those running outside the CA AppLogic environment.

Developers can also move applications from their development environment into the CA AppLogic environment smoothly, reducing the time it takes to roll-out new features and to update existing applications.

In addition, the GigaSpaces multi-site replication capabilities enable applications to span multiple CA AppLogic clouds and keep their state continuously synchronized. This enables businesses to avoid network latency by keeping the application and its data close to the user data center, disaster recovery between sites and effective cloud bursting to maximize the resource utilization among the CA AppLogic sites.

GigaSpaces will be demonstrating its new XAP appliance at CA World 2011, taking place November 13-16, 2011 in Las Vegas.
