Regulatory 2.0 Workshop to offer answers to the future of regulatory policy including fixed and wireless carriers, service providers, cable companies, developers, and enterprises

NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- TMC and Crossfire Media today announced the Regulatory 2.0 Workshop. Regulatory 2.0 is a full day workshop that examines today’s communications and entertainment models and identifies new alternatives that can foster innovation, competition and new opportunities for service providers.

“Big decisions are being made today that impact every company’s bottom line - to an extent that’s even greater than the activities of their largest customers,” said Crossfire Media’s Carl Ford. “If companies fail to pay attention to how these rules are changing, then they shouldn’t be surprised when the new rules ultimately change their business. We invite everyone to join our discussion in Austin – and get up-to-speed on what the changing regulatory environment means for their business.”

Sessions featured in the Workshop include:

  • Who needs Help with Broadband? - discusses the pending FCC ruling on ICC and FUSF.
  • The Role of Each State in the Telecom Debate - takes a look at how municipal and state governments address zoning, rights-of-way regulation, and taxation issues.
  • Texting 911: What Will it Take to Deploy Next Generation 911 Services – examines where 911 is heading and presents ideas on supporting the migration to IP.
  • The Future of Telecom and Internet Communications – discusses how we will sunset the PSTN and deliver a richer Internet communications experience to everyone, in both rural and urban America.

Registration for the event is now open and all attendees will have access to the ITEXPO Exhibition Floor, featuring hundreds of IP Communications and Broadband Internet companies.
