ebrary Launches New Posttraumatic Stress Disorder E-book Collection with DASH!
PALO ALTO, Cailf.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ebrary®, a leading provider of e-books and research technology, today announced the availability of a new e-book collection on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Priced under US$3,000, the perpetual archive package includes 40 current titles from renowned publishers such as Wiley, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. The e-books may also be purchased individually, and they are not available in any ebrary subscription product.
In support of troops, veterans, and others, ebrary will offer any institution that purchases the PTSD collection a complimentary open access channel, which they may use to upload and integrate their own PTSD reports, studies, and other important materials on the ebrary platform with DASH!™ (Data Sharing, Fast). Institutions must have the right to upload the materials and make them publicly available. ebrary will aggregate uploaded materials across institutions and open the collection for all researchers’ use at www.ebrary.com.
“In addition to providing libraries and other institutions with authoritative e-books from trusted publishers that can help researchers understand more about posttraumatic stress disorder, we are happy to facilitate the sharing of open access information using our technology,” said Leslie Lees, ebrary’s Vice President of Content Development.
ebrary’s new PTSD collection is the company’s only perpetual archive package to include DASH!. The technology has historically only been offered with ebrary’s “complete” subscription e-book databases including Government Complete™, which features a growing selection of more than 70,000 titles with unlimited access.
