Deep Focus Bolsters Leadership Team in Management and Creative, Adding Managing Director and Naming First ECD
NEW YORK, July 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Deep Focus, a full-service interactive marketing agency focused on measurable, results-driven consumer engagement, today announced that Amy Eagle, 40, has joined the firm as managing director and that Ken Kraemer, 35, has been promoted to serve as the agency's first executive creative director.

Deep Focus was acquired in October 2010 by Engine USA, part of the Engine Group, London's largest independent communications and marketing company. Engine USA was established in New York in February 2010 with legendary admen Martin Puris as CEO and John Bernbach as COO.

Ms. Eagle is a deeply experienced agency veteran with significant account and management experience at a wide range of ad and marketing agencies. Prior to joining the Deep Focus team she was General Manager at The Hyperfactory, a pure-play global mobile marketing agency. She began her career in the early 90s on the west coast at agencies like Wieden + Kennedy, McCann Erickson and DDB. In 2003, she moved to New York, where she led Communications Planning at Carat and was Director of Client Services at Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners. She has worked on accounts in the retail, CPG, food, spirits, technology, entertainment, beverages, auto, financial services, apparel, QSR and beauty categories, both in the US and internationally.
As Managing Director at Deep Focus, Amy is responsible for the overall experience the client has with the agency and will lead the Client Service, Strategy, Media, Production, and PR and Social Communications teams.

Mr. Kraemer joined Deep Focus in November 2009 as Group Creative Director, managing creative across the portfolio and continuing to build the agency's creative department. Prior to joining Deep Focus, he was Creative Director at IconNicholson, where he led a business unit that served The Coca-Cola Company, McKinsey & Company, MasterCard, and The Robin Hood Foundation, among others. Prior to IconNicholson, Ken was the Creative Director, User Experience at Atmosphere BBDO, where he led the user experience practice and handled such clients as GE, Target, Emirates Airline, Citi, AT&T, Cingular Wireless, and PepsiCo.
In his new role as ECD, Mr. Kraemer, will be responsible for accelerating and growing the agency's creative capabilities with regards to ideation and execution, brand stewardship, and technological and social innovation. He will be responsible for codifying and growing the agency's thought leadership and publishing capabilities and infusing the company's creative excellence into everything the agency does. He also joins the Deep Focus Executive Management team, helping to guide the vision and operations of the agency.
