Damballa Senior Threat Researchers Present at Hacker Halted 2011
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Damballa Inc., the company transforming the fight against cyber threats, announced that Senior Threat Researchers Sean Bodmer and Christopher Elisan are speaking at Hacker Halted 2011. Bodmer’s presentation is titled “Spy Jackers – Countering Persistent Threats.” The session will cover how to analyze intrusion forensics to generate highly accurate profiles of an adversary, which can help IT security professionals and authorities with attribution and apprehension of the criminal. Elisan’s lecture is titled “Follow My Botnet on Twitter.” He will discuss and demonstrate how a common PDF file is exploited to serve as a delivery mechanism for malware, and once infection is successful, how Twitter and other free online services are used as the malware's command and control.
