Computers in Libraries Keynotes Streaming Live at Libconf.com
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Information Today, Inc. announced today that the keynotes from the annual Computers in Libraries conference and exhibition will be streamed live from the Hilton Washington at Libconf.com.
Computers in Libraries is the largest conference and exhibition in the world dedicated to library technology. Approximately 2,000 tech-minded librarians from all 50 states and some 20 countries are expected to be on hand for this year’s event.
The conference will include the following three keynote presentations. All will be streamed live at Libconf.com
On Monday, March 21 at 9:00 a.m., James Crawford, engineering director at Google Books, will present “Google Books—Strategic Focus and Value to Library Communities.”
On Tuesday, March 22 at 9:00 a.m., Michelle Manafy, director of content at Free Pint and editor of the upcoming book Dancing With Digital Natives, will present “Engaging Digital Natives—Strategies, Services, & Satisfaction.”
On Wednesday, March 23 at 9:00 a.m., Lee Rainie, director, Pew Research Internet & American Life Project, will present “Adding Value to Communities.”
In addition, Computers in Libraries 2011 will feature more than 200 expert speakers across five conference tracks. There are more than 100 sessions on every major technology area affecting libraries now and in the future, including search engines, social media, content management, SharePoint and collaboration, ebooks, visualization and geospatial technologies, mobile technology, the iPad and tablets, and much more.
