CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cloud.com, a leading provider of open source cloud computing software for public and private cloud environments, today announced Ken Kim as its Vice President and General Manager of Asia-Pacific. Ken brings over 20 years of experience in the startup and enterprise technology industry, and will be responsible for the go-to-market activities and business development in Asia-Pacific. Cloud.com has already experienced great success in the region announcing Tata Communications and Korea Telecom (KT) as customers and Kumoya as a partner.

“We are pleased to have Ken join our team. He brings with him years of experience and understanding of this regional market, and has proven his ability to deliver based on his success with previous companies,” said Sheng Liang, CEO and founder of Cloud.com. “Already demonstrated by our large customer wins, there is a huge market opportunity for cloud computing in Asia-Pacific among both service providers and enterprises. By adding an executive who exclusively focuses in this market, we hope to dominate in the region.”

With a broad range of experience working for companies like Symantec, Vontu, E2open and Accenture, Ken brings deep expertise in Asia-Pacific, business operations, and an extensive entrepreneurial background. Ken has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University.

“The traction Cloud.com has gained in the Asia-Pacific region is a testament to the demand from both the service providers and enterprises that are seeking effective cloud computing solutions,” said Ken. “The current success of Korea Telecom, Tata and Kumoya illustrate the robustness of the Cloud.com solution and interest from the market. I look forward to aiding in the company’s continued growth in the Asia-Pacific region.”
