Chris Sells Joins Telerik as VP of the Developer Tools Division
Former Principal PM for Microsoft Visual Studio brings industry-leading development expertise to Telerik
WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Telerik, an end-to-end provider of software application lifecycle and content management solutions, today announced that Chris Sells has joined the company as Vice President of the Developer Tools division.
Sells is a world-renowned industry veteran, who brings to Telerik over two decades’ of development expertise. He spent nearly the past decade at Microsoft, most recently as Principal Program Manager for the Developer Division working on Visual Studio. In this role, Sells was instrumental in driving the end-to-end developer story for Metro style apps using JavaScript. In this role, Sells led the team responsible for building the most ambitious set of Visual Studio templates to date, which set the application model and brought the Windows UX style guidelines to life for JavaScript developers targeting Windows 8.
A thought leader in the developer community, Sells has authored twelve books for software developers, dozens of magazine articles and hundreds of freely available internet blog posts. As a distinguished speaker, he has given hundreds of technical presentations and keynotes at industry conferences around the world, most recently at the Microsoft //build/ conference launching the developer tools for Windows 8. He has taught short courses on all levels of Microsoft technology, as well as run the popular sellsbrothers.com to provide tools and industry commentary to the Microsoft developer community. He’s also run his own focused developer conferences (“DevCons”), gathering the industry’s top thinkers and practitioners on cutting edge Microsoft and cross-platform technologies.
