Business Service Management (BSM) for IT Service Management removes complexity and costs, while also providing visibility into the resources, activities and priorities required to deliver and support business services. Through innovative technologies, a unified platform, multiple ownership and deployment models and best practices, BSM for IT Service Management unites fragmented IT service management disciplines to guide you toward greater functional maturity, enriched customer/user experiences and more efficient management of IT costs. This certification helps mitigate risk through validated security capabilities by ensuring that government agencies’ software solution providers adhere to strict regulatory standards to guard against threats to their IT systems.
“We are pleased to announce the certification of Remedy ARS, as NIAP and its CCEVS testing process is an essential component to the protection of public and private information technology infrastructures. Furthermore, the EAL4 certification underscores BMC’s ongoing commitment to and investment in software quality and security,” said Bhanu P. Singh, area vice president of research and development, BMC Software. “BMC applauds NIST and NSA for its continued focus on IT security, as well as its dedication to ensuring that the private sector supplies its agency counterparts with solid, secure software solutions.”
NIAP, a collaboration between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Security Agency (NSA), is an initiative designed to meet the security testing needs of both IT consumers and producers. Tasked with defining and developing national and international standards for IT security, the partnership combines the extensive IT security experience of both agencies to promote technically sound security requirements for IT products and systems. Twenty-five nations around the world mutually recognize the Common Criteria certificate.
