AsTech Consulting Posts Record Earnings in 2010

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AsTech Consulting, the leader in application security solutions, today announced its highest gross revenues since its founding 13 years ago.

Revenue increased more than 90% over the previous year. The company gained nine new clients across a number of industries, including financial services, insurance and mobile service providers.

AsTech Consulting Founder and CEO Greg Reber attributes the firm’s success to being among the first to recognize the risk of consumer-facing Internet applications. “Over the ten years, we’ve developed the depth of experience in application security very few, if any, companies can claim. Our AppSec practice continues to grow based on demand and our reputation as a tier one company in this area,” said Reber.

The company plans to focus on two additional areas of its security consulting practice – mobile application and “cloud” security. “Our software engineers and security consultants already deal with these issues so it’s a natural progression for us,” said Reber.

AsTech hired additional software engineers and other professional staff in 2010 to meet client needs, increasing overall staff size by 30%.
