Web-Based System to Empower Veterans, their Families and Physicians with New Tools to More Effectively and Easily Manage Health

LAUREL, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aquilent, the recognized leading provider of Web-based solutions shaping the next generation of technology for the federal government, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to help the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and Veterans Health Administration (VHA), within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), to enable electronic health risk assessments (HRAs). Aquilent selected the use of the Expert-24 commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) HRA which will allow VA to easily customize the HRA to their patient population and clinical guidelines.

The system will be developed in compliance with Section 508 and a variety of existing Federal and VA, privacy, information security, accessibility, and interoperability policies and standards.

"We have an obligation to provide excellent healthcare to our Veterans, who have selflessly defended our country," explained Aquilent CEO David Fout. “This initiative demonstrates the VA's commitment to meeting that obligation by leveraging adaptive technologies to provide convenient and effective health risk assessments.
