CashStar’s Digital Gifting Platform Will Enable Aéropostale to Deliver Personalized eGift Cards and Promotions to Teens

PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CashStar, the digital gifting and incentives company, today announced that Aéropostale™, a mall-based specialty retailer for young men and women, has selected its platform to offer eGift Cards. By leveraging CashStar’s platform, Aéropostale customers will have the ability to electronically send personalized eGift Cards that can be redeemed at both Aéropostale and p.s. from Aéropostale brands – either in-store or online.

“Today’s teenager is constantly looking for ways to be unique and creative. The addition of eGift Cards adds that personal touch to the gift giving and shopping experience,” said Jacob Hawkins, Vice President of Ecommerce at Aéropostale. “We are also looking forward to leveraging CashStar’s promotions engine, to continue to provide exciting offers and promotions which is a core element of our marketing strategy.”

With more than 970 store locations in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada as well as a loyal online customer base, Aéropostale wanted to give its shoppers, especially its teen shopper a fun and instant way to shop on their own whether in-store or online. With just a few clicks, consumers can personalize eGift Cards by selecting a design or uploading their own image, adding a personal message, and selecting the denomination and send date.

“The digital gift card industry is growing at a rapid pace,” said CashStar Co-founder and CEO David Stone. “Retailers such as Aéropostale are realizing that digital gifting is a lucrative revenue stream that also creates new avenues for customer loyalty and reward programs.”
