Former StrongMail and BEA Systems Exec Brings 20 Years of Progressive Technology Experience

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Abiquo, the leading Enterprise Cloud software company, announced today the appointment of Matthew McLaughlin to the position of Executive Vice President of Global Field Operations. McLaughlin previously held the same role at StrongMail Systems, a solution provider for email and social media marketing.

At StrongMail, McLaughlin managed a worldwide field organization of approximately 60 employees, and grew perpetual and SaaS revenues 55 percent year-over-year for each of his four years at the company. He brought on high-level customers including WalMart, Dow Jones, Netflix, Tesco, Sony, Cisco and AT&T.

Prior to his position at StrongMail, McLaughlin was the Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Azul Systems, Inc., a maker of high-performance JVMS and elastic Java runtimes. He produced 32 customers for the company’s main product line, including Avaya, Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Wachovia.

Previously, McLaughlin spent seven years at BEA Systems, ending his time with the company as Vice President of Global Accounts. He managed sales and marketing efforts for the firm’s biggest and most strategic customers throughout the world. He consistently increased year-over-year license revenue and changed the company’s sales focus from transactional success to an enterprise and solutions focused organization.
