A methanol fuel cell debuting at next week's CeBIT convention will power laptop computers for up to 8 hours, officials of Antig Technology and AVG said. The cell fits into a laptop's drive bay and weights 3.7 pounds, so it would be wise to wait for a second-generation version instead of rushing out to buy this technology. Unknown for now is how you'd refill the cell and what it might cost.
