Remember how last week, Microsoft released Internet Explorer 7 [1], only to be greeted by reports the next day that the first vulnerability had been discovered? Well, it turns out that it was actually a vulnerability in Outlook that caused the loophole. Okay, well, I guess that's slightly less embarrassing for the house that Gates built. However, lest anyone think that Microsoft had somehow, accidentally shipped a bug-free product, reports of the first real IE7 bug are in--a scant six days after the launch of the new browser. And what's this? It appears that the new exploit is, of all things, a phishing scam. Are you scratching your head in confusion right now, asking "Didn't Microsoft boast that robust anti-phishing security was one of IE7's new features?" You shouldn't be. Let the game of cat and mouse commence!
