Rumor: Mac OS X Leopard coming in late May/early June

I know that I'm not the only one who was disappointed by OS X Leopard's no-show at this year's MacWorld. Those of us hoping for a full preview of the OS during Steve's keynote [1] had our hopes dashed, as Jobs devoted nearly the entire two hours to all things Apple TV/iPhone. Could this mean that Leopard is farther off than we think? Hopefully not. Recent signs are pointing to a late spring/early summer release for the OS, despite Apple's continuing silence on the matter. A group of training companies in the U.K. have announced training courses for OS 10.5 that are scheduled to commence in early June. Hmm...one would think that the OS would have to be publicly available for a training course to be relevant. Further signs pointing to the late spring time frame are a number of OS X Leopard guides that are popping up on Amazon.com, all of which are set for release in late May and early June. If these rumors prove to be true, June could be a big month for Apple.
