IE flaw could prove troublesome

Hackers are using porn sites and a new exploit kit to dump spyware on unsuspecting user's PCs via a hole in Microsoft Internet Explorer. The flaw is tied to how IE processes the Vector Markup Language code that provides the graphics on a Web site. Security experts say the malware works on any Windows system using the IE 6 browser. Microsoft has acknowledged the vulnerability and will likely issue a fix on October's Patch Tuesday. But it's likely it could come sooner than the Oct. 10 patch release, since the flaw has the potential to cause a bit of trouble.
