Samsung LCD displays phone home

[1]OK you jokers, who put VoIP in my LCD display? I leave my desk for one minute and what do I find when I come back? A Samsung SyncMaster 220TN with integrated VoIP calling. I suppose it could be worse--after all, Samsung's LCD panels are widely regarded as being some of the best around and from the looks of it, this 22" SyncMaster is no exception. If I had to guess, I'd say this thing has a 5-ms refresh rate and a max resolution of 1680 x 1050. And what's all this? Looks like a 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, four USB ports and a built-in 2-megapixel webcam, mic and speaker. Okay, okay, I guess if you're going to have all that gear baked-in, you might as well embed a VoIP app in the thing, to enable calling without having to turn on your PC. This monitor probably needs a little help in that department though and judging by the sound of it, I'd say there's a 500Mhz Geode LX800 processor running WinXP embedded hiding in there somewhere. Alright, I'll admit, this thing seems pretty slick for what it is, I'm just not convinced that anyone needs a display that can make VoIP calls. Honestly, I'd really ju--wait a second. Okay wise guys, who put chocolate in my milk?
