Baseline has studied the SEC proxies of the 1,000 largest U.S. firms to build its list of elite CIOs from the past five years. Collectively, the top 10 on the list earned $50 million last year. As one top tech leader claims, the pay is tied to enabling business change, which feeds directly into the company's revenue success.
